Our quality of life relies on healthy, biologically rich, and ecologically functional natural environments. Our foundation will advance research and conservation efforts to better understand, protect, and manage natural systems and resources for current and future generations.

Mission

Our mission is to rebuild and sustain living natural resources through research and conservation efforts as we work to promote wise use of resources. Our goal is to create vibrant communities that shepherd the welfare of natural resources with efficient and sustainable harvesting and regulatory systems.

Vision

We envision a future in which humans recognize that our quality of life relies on healthy, biologically rich, and ecologically functional natural environments and a vibrant community that shepherds the welfare of resources with efficient harvesting and regulatory systems.

Our Values: Leadership • Integrity • Flexibility • Efficiency • Responsiveness

EVCARF achieves goals through a program of science and regulatory advice based on that science. We are focused on:

  • Fostering conservation of Living Natural Resources
  • Achieving sustainability and efficient and wise use of resources
  • Answering basic research questions about humans and our relationship to the environment
  • Design and testing of alternative fishing and farming technologies
  • Improving regulatory efficiency in conservation programs while reducing administrative and enforcement costs, maximizing optimum yield and increasing regulatory compliance.
  • Research on natural science biology and physics involving people, their culture and behavior.
